Insomnia
Its 6 Am…
Im standing up in my bed, looking the morning Cairo, so fresh and silence..
For the first time since I arrive here, im having insomnia… I awoke at 5 Am and since then I wondering up and down the flat, and from one side to another in my bed…
There's no particular reason for having as insomnia, or perhaps it's just the top of the iceberg of one million reasons. Therefore I don’t know for sure…
Our cloud 9 crew will increase, a new Brazilian guy is coming today, and within a few weeks, a Dutch girl will also join us…
Elise alarm clock just rang, its 6.30Am
I like to watch this different Cairo, our Nile lays across my eyes with a fresh breeze on my cheeks…
The lack of sleep makes me feel poetic…dam!
I miss lots of things I left back home, such as my computer, my alarm clock, my watch, my clothes, my cozy bed….well, its better not to think of it at all…
Just went to awake Ryan, he is quite a morning person, singing all the time…I gave him a shoulder massage cause today he has some duties at work…
Tonight im going with the Salaamers to an AIESEC Exchange Reception...

Alexandria
This weekend we went to Alexandria (we= me and almost all AIESECers)
ON Friday we went to the beach, oh, I hadn’t swam that much for more than an year!! In a few hours I get a very nice tan!! And at night we went to a cool barbecue at one of AIESECers guy's house…I believe we were more then 20!! And was so relaxing and at the same time, so fun and euphoric!!
On Saturday we were suppose to go to the Museum, instead we went to a cool seaside café, smoke shisha, drink fresh juices watching the waves…the perfect place, in my opinion and most of the peoples with me!! After that, we all went to a seafood restaurant in the middle of the street, first glance, I question how sanitary it was, but afterwards the food was tasty!!
Everyone came back to Cairo after, except for me Elise and Guido, our new flat mate, a Dutch cool guy, we stayed for another night!
Later on with Heni and Hasham we went to a western bar, drink some bear and smoke some shisha, and we decided that from now on we will be called the FED Group!
By the way, im getting used to smoke shisha all the time, I get Zeenn…ehehehehe
For my first weekend here, I had lots off fun, a lot more then I expected!!
Look forward to go there again, some other time!!!

FIRST DAYS
After a 16 hours journey I’ve arrive Cairo, well, I didn’t spend 16hours on a plain, but had a scale on Brussels from 0.20 until 6.05…
As soon as arrive Cairo, I get lost in the Airport, not get lost in the airport, but get lost with so many people and kind fizz me just thinking im so far away from home in a such different country....
After 30 minuts finally found Shousha…
He took me up to a juice bar, where I drink a refreshing watermelon juice…
My home is cloud nine downtown Cairo, with an overlooking the Nile, its actually quite a view!!!
My flat mates are nice, Elisa, Katlin, and Ryan, from U.S.A. , and we’ll be much more!!!
Yesterday went to Tornado with some more AISECers, and smoke shisha and had a gread meal, nice vegetables…
I cant say im loving been here, im still trying to adapt to this lifestyle…
Today
Just finish packing…
Hope don’t have any probing with the baggage, as well with the weight… ive try to put my house on it.. Failed, so, reduce to the most important things, which are still many!!
My mother cried while I was packing…
Last night I went to a goodbye party with 2 best girl friends, and we had a lot of fun, and a lot of drinks too… but I ve barely slept. Wake up at 9 am….
Feel my heart tight…
I anxious to get there!!!!
7 days
I have all the last details prepared, although is seems im loosing track of something …
Concerning the house, im counting with the precious help of Shoush and Augusto, hope they can help me find a nice house and of course, nice mates…
I look around and all the sudden all this appeared lovely…
Felt a bit sad to move away leaving all my friends…
However, im more than happy and had no retreats what so ever, im pretty sure I’ll meet a lots of nice and funny people and we all get along good!!!!!
I’m starting to have conscious ill be gone and within a couple off weeks, my life will be completely different…
I’M excited and hopeful that this will be the first off several (hope so) best life experiences.

Yes, its correct, in 12 days I ll be in Cairo....
I think im prepared, although its seems im missing something on the final details…

Passport. Highly needed…checked…
Vaccines. ..Gosh… checked
Medication…. Checked
Baggage… made long time ago!!!
Well I guess I can start the goodbye party’s…eheheeh…
Already have one for the day before I left!!
